    Wonders of Weather / June 11 - 15 / 9am-12pm / Description: What is the weather like out there? We ask this question every day, and the answer determines choices from the clothes we wear to the sports we play. The weather influences just about everything! We will immerse ourselves in the wonders of weather and end the week with a weather balloon launch. So the next time people ask what the weather is like, you can tell them! This camp is for students who have completed one of the following grades: 2-8. Instructed by Michelle Serino

    BLOW your MIND: The Unbelievable BUT Possible  / June 11 - 15 / 1-4pm / Description: Are you READY? Are you SET?  GO into the crazy world of experiments that reach beyond your wildest imagination! Campers will make a cube of sugar disappear before your very eyes. Does it defy the rules of Physics or NOT?  Lay on a bed of EGGS without making an omelette! It truly is an Egg-tacular Egg-speriment... Don't miss this unbelievable but possible week of camp.     Mathemagician Academy / June 18-22 / 9am-12pm/ Description: Have you ever wanted to be amazing? Would you like math to be fun? Become a mathemagician in five sessions! Learn about famous mathematicians and magicians while mastering mystifying magic with your mathematical superpowers. You will leave with a brain (and a magic box) stuffed full of math and magic!     Food Fight! / June 18-22 / 1-4pm/ Description: Imagine if the events in the book Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs actually happened. What would it take to manage the messes all of that giant food could cause? You’re going to leverage your imagination, math, art, and building skills to clean up our town. Campers will learn all about mass, volume, and density while generating solutions to unbelievable problems. This camp is for students who have completed one of the following grades: 2-8.     Can You Figure Out Who’s Been in the Kitchen?/ June 25-29 / 9am-12pm/ Description: A crime has been committed and the police received a call. A Lancaster home has been burglarized between 3am and 5 am while the owner, Jackie Ramone, was working overnight. Someone’s been in the kitchen and there are empty soda cans all over the floor, other trash and clothing that Jackie says weren’t there when she left. The neighbors say they heard dogs barking around 4:34am, because they looked at their phone at the time. Can you help unravel this mystery? This camp is for students who have completed one of the following grades: 2-8. Instructed by Jacqueline Mitchell

    Has A Crime Been Committed? / June 25-29 / 1-4pm / Description: Can you help unravel this mystery? A deceased person has been reported to police and the body has been removed by the Medical Examiner and taken to the morgue. Now, we’ve been called in to process the crime scene. There are footprints, tools, a large piece of wood with hair and red-brown staining, plant material, and digital evidence retrieved from the victim’s phone that the detectives have shared with us.     Spells, Magic, and Potions / July 2, 3, 5, 6 / 1-4pm / Description: Enter into the classroom at Hogwarts with Harry Potter. You will learn all about the science behind wizarding, potions, making spells and creating wands. Come experience this magical journey!     Junk Drawer Robotics / July 2, 3, 5, 6 / 1-4pm / Description: Learn the science and mechanical engineering-based skills behind robotic design with everyday household items! You will build your own fully functioning robotic arm that moves with its own hands and grippers! This camp is for students who have completed one of the following grades: 2-8.     Mathemagician Academy II / July 9 – 13 / 9am-12pm / Description: It is recommended that students take beginner’s Mathemagician offered earlier in the summer, but it is not required. This course is similar, but the math and the magic will be all new and a bit more challenging than in the first course.It is designed for students who enjoy math and magic. You will leave with a magic box full of new tricks and a brain stuffed with mind-blowing magic and math. This camp is for students who have completed one of the following grades: 3-8.     Getting a Charge Out of Engineering / July 9 – 13 / 91pm -4pm / Description: Enjoy a thermally energetic experience as you charge your way into small electronic engineering. Get magnetized by the strength of magnets and their invisible forces. Can you control the invisible? Explore thermo dynamics as you figure your way in and out of heated situations without getting in trouble with your parents… Transmit yourself into the world of Electrical Engineering for a week of hands on fun.     High Steel Presents: BridgeMania / July 16 – 20 / 9am-12pm / Description: Take a journey through the world of Bridge Engineering and Technology. Explore structural behavior while you competitively build arches, paper bridges, and wooden trusses. Help erect a small steel bridge and perform actual welding. Visit one of the largest steel bridge companies in the country and see actual bridge fabrication on the shop floor. This camp is for students who have completed one of the following grades: 4-8.     Encountering Wild Science / July 16-20 / 1-4pm / Description: Experience and experiment with wild and crazy science! Campers will get messy with slime & ooblek, as well as exploring dinosaurs and making fossils. Use your hands on as we explore all the fun and crazy things that science has in store.     Golden Ticket / July 23 -July 27 / 9am-12pm / Description: If you like the story Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, this camp was made for you. Expect some sweet, sour, and chocolaty experiences as you deal with challenges involving chemistry, physics, and math. With a little luck, nobody will wind up as a blueberry.     The Sound of Music / July 23 - 27 / 1-4pm / Description: C’mon feel it– in this session you’ll break out the rhythm and the rhyme and feel your way through music! Create good vibrations that will bring life to your water glasses. We’ll pump up the volume as you use straws to make a xylophone sing. Strike a pose while playing a Tonoscope then join in the groove with your personal Kazoo. This camp is for students who have completed one of the following grades: K-5. Instructed by Angela Kilyan

    Heart of STEM / July 30 – August 3 / 9am-12pm / Description: Have a heART for Lancaster… as we create a display piece of large-scale ART for the City. Design a palette of scientific discovery, experimental knowledge and innovative concepts, throw in a splash of paint and ART is BORN!     Making a Brain Connection / July 30 - August 3 / 1-4pm / Description: Welcome to a world where the brain is not just the brain but the reason for everything. We see, because of our brain. We feel, because of our brain. We taste, because of our brain. The five senses, touch, sight, hearing, smell, and taste, will be explored as we unravel the most complex organ in our body, the brain.     Picture This! / August 6-10 / 9am-12pm / Description: Have you ever gotten yelled at for coloring on a wall at home? Well, join us for Picture This! Campers will brainstorm, collaborate, design and create a STEAM-a-riffic mural using our walls as their canvas. Learn how to use your small-scale design to create large-scale ART.     The Science of Color / August 6 -10 / 1-4pm / Description: Have you ever asked yourself: Where do COLORS come from? Why do I see Different COLORS? Well let’s explore COLOR! Campers will slip and slide into the World of Water, play rumble and tumble with the furious force of earthquakes, face the soaking impact of a torrential downpour from a Summer storm, all while enjoying the simple sprouting of new growth from plants and trees...
