Science is Amazing Festival

The Lancaster Science Factory is thrilled to announce the 6th annual Science is Amazing Festival, presented by High Industries with additional support from RKL, Insight PA Cyber Charter School, GSK, Eurofins Lancaster Laboratories, Millersville University & Sechan Electronics Inc!

The Lancaster Science Factory just turned 10, and to celebrate, we are pleased to announce the return of our Science is Amazing Festival to be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018. The event will run 10am-4pm and the museum will remain open until 5pm.

Admission to the Science is Amazing Festival is FREE to the public and includes all Science Factory exhibits, plus special science demonstrations and activities. Children must be accompanied by an adult age 18 or over.

Demonstrations, activities, and experiments are for children and their families, involving the children as hands-on participants.

Make717 and Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology are returning this year to offer a “Soldering Zone” presented by Sechan Electronics.  Kids in grades 5 and up can solder their own pin with glowing LED lights!

Make717 will also feature a Mini Maker Faire with the following tools on display: Wobbler Engines, Monoprice MP Select Mini 3D printers / Inventables Carvey 2.5D CNC machine & Sherline 4400C Lathe.

In addition to the Soldering Zone & Mini Maker Faire, the following organizations will present activities and science-related demonstrations: Axel Diaz – Solar System Ambassador, The North Museum of Nature and Science, Eurofins Lancaster LaboratoriesElizabethtown College, High IndustriesAlvernia University, Millersville University, Franklin and Marshall College, Godfrey, and MORE!
