The Homework Club
April 14 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 9:00 am on Wednesday, repeating until May 26, 2021
Virtual and hybrid learning can be challenging for students and for families. Students in 1st – 8th grade are welcome to the Lancaster Science Factory each Wednesday for a partial or full day. Our professional educators can help keep students on track as they complete assignments, provide extra help with challenging subjects, and facilitate hands-on STEM education activities during downtime. Flexible pickup and drop off times help you manage your schedule.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Each session is limited to 12 students to allow for safe physical distancing and a student to teacher ratio of 6:1. Students in the Homework Club will have access to explore our exhibit hall during breaks, even during times when the Science Factory is closed to the public. Masks are required. Students may bring their own laptops or tablets and a set of headphones. The Lancaster Science Factory has Chromebooks available to loan on-site if needed (please verify technology requirements with your school/teachers).
PROGRAM COSTS
Homework Club meets every Wednesday from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. Cost is flexible, as are pickup and drop off times:
- Up to 3 hours: $25 per student
- 3 – 5 hours: $35 per student
- 5+ hours: $45 per student
Member Families receive a discount of 10% off of their total Homework Club registration using their discount code.
A limited number of scholarships are available for families in need. Please contact Amanda Bakay at abakay@tlsf.org or 717-509-6363 to apply.
