Child Playing With Lancster Science Factory Exhibit

Sensory Friendly Morning

July 20 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

The Lancaster Science Factory will be hosting it’s very first sensory friendly event on Friday, July 20th!

Families with children who have sensory processing differences are invited to visit the Lancaster Science Factory for a quieter, less crowded experience on Friday, July 20th from 9am – Noon. Sensory friendly STEM activities will also be held at the Science Café!

Pre-registration and pre-payment are REQUIRED. We will be closed to the general public during this time and the number of visitors will be limited to ensure the low-key environment. Additional accommodations during this event include:

  • Lowered light
  • Decreased sound (Rock and Roll Stage exhibit will be disabled from 9am – 11pm ONLY)
  • Lowered temperature
  • “Cool down” spaces available in our classroom and throughout the exhibit hall floor.
  • Noise-cancelling headphones available (limited quantity)

To help plan your visit, we are offering activity sheets that can help focus your child’s experience on the exhibit hall floor:

Scavenger Hunt for Young Scientists

Half-Hour Scramble Scavenger Hunt

Easy Level Scavenger Hunt

Medium Level Scavenger Hunt
